Nimtofte

Nimtofte is a small town on the green Djursland peninsula in eastern Jutland. It is best known as the home of Djurs Sommerland, Denmark's largest amusement park, which draws families each year with roller coasters, a water world and countless attractions. Outside the season, Nimtofte is a quiet village community surrounded by rolling farmland, woods and small lakes that invite walking and cycling. The nearby landscape around Kolindsund and the coastlines makes the area a fine base for exploring Djursland. With its blend of rural calm and one of the country's most visited leisure destinations, Nimtofte offers both relaxation and family fun. Whitewashed houses, the local church and the open countryside give the town an unmistakable Danish provincial charm, making a stay here both authentic and restful. It is an easy day trip from Aarhus and the wider east-coast region.
