Vang is a tiny fishing hamlet clinging to Bornholm's rugged northwestern coast, where granite cliffs plunge straight into the Baltic Sea. Once a busy quarrying settlement, the village shipped stone from its dramatic pier for more than a century, and the abandoned quarry has since been reclaimed by nature and reborn as a peaceful swimming and picnic spot. Today Vang offers one of the island's most striking coastal panoramas, with clear turquoise water lapping against pink-grey rock and views stretching toward the Hammeren headland. Walkers follow the coastal path to nearby Jons Kapel, a soaring cliff formation named after a legendary hermit preacher. The little harbour still shelters a handful of boats, and the surrounding heath and pine woods invite quiet wandering.
