Truust

Truust is a small village in the rolling landscape of Central Jutland, beautifully set near the Gudenå – Denmark's longest river. The surroundings are shaped by gentle river valleys, meadows, wooded slopes and winding gravel lanes that invite quiet walks and cycling. The Gudenå is a haven for canoeists and anglers, and from the water the Central Jutland countryside reveals itself at its finest. Nearby stand the historic Tvilum Church, built as a monastery church in the Middle Ages, along with the lively towns of Fårvang and Gjern. Truust itself is quiet and rural, a typical Danish village where fields meet the river. Here you sense the unhurried pace of the region: birdsong, grazing animals and wide open skies. The village makes a fine base for exploring the Lake District and the scenic trails, lakes and cultural gems of the Gudenå valley.
