Tånum

Tånum is a small village in Randers Municipality in eastern Jutland, lying just a few kilometres west of the town of Randers. Set in a quiet agricultural landscape close to the Gudenå river, it enjoys the broad river valley that shapes the region with meadows, gentle hills and sweeping views across central Jutland. The whitewashed Tånum Church stands as the village's natural focal point and hints at its long history. Here you sense the calm charm of the Danish countryside, where narrow lanes wind between farms and homes. Tånum makes a fine base for walks and cycling trips along the Gudenå, while its closeness to Randers lets you pair rural stillness with the town's museums, zoo and shopping. The surrounding area invites relaxed exploration away from the main tourist routes, where nature, culture and everyday life meet in peaceful surroundings.
