Stolbro is a small village in the north of the island of Als in Southern Jutland, just a few kilometres from the town of Nordborg. Here you find the quiet, gentle farmland of Sønderjylland, where rolling fields, hedgerows and scattered farmsteads define the horizon. The village sits close to the neighbouring settlement of Stolbro Ler and is easily reached from the road between Nordborg and Havnbjerg. Als is known for its fertile soil, its beaches and its closeness to Als Fjord and the Little Belt, and the coast is never far from the Stolbro area. The surroundings suit calm cycling and driving trips, letting you experience authentic island life away from the busier tourist spots. Nordborg offers shops, a lake and castle heritage, while the open countryside leaves plenty of room for walks. Stolbro is not an attraction in itself, but a fine base from which to explore the north of Als at a relaxed pace.
