Midskov

Midskov is a tiny rural village on the Hindsholm peninsula in northeast Funen, part of Kerteminde municipality. Surrounded by rolling farmland and sheltered coastline, it embodies the quiet, unhurried character of Denmark's island countryside. There are no crowds here — just hedgerows, grazing fields, and lanes that wind toward the sea. Hindsholm is one of Funen's best-kept secrets, a slender finger of land reaching into the Kattegat, and Midskov makes a peaceful base for exploring it. Cyclists and walkers appreciate the flat, scenic roads that link scattered farmsteads, thatched cottages, and small harbours. To the north lies Fyns Hoved, a dramatic nature reserve of cliffs, heath, and rich birdlife; to the south, the historic town of Kerteminde with its fishing harbour and museums. Come for the stillness, the sea light, and a glimpse of authentic Danish country life far from the tourist trail.
