Listed is one of Bornholm's smallest and most charming fishing hamlets, tucked into the rocky coastline between Svaneke and Nexø. Its little harbour was built in the late 19th century and is still used by leisure and fishing boats, while waves break against the island's distinctive granite rocks. The village is made up of a handful of old, closely packed houses of timber framing and weatherboarding, linked by narrow winding lanes that lead down to the water. Listed is known for its old smokehouse, where the Bornholm tradition of smoked herring lives on. The surrounding area offers idyllic patches of woodland and coastal paths, including the route towards Louisenlund with its ancient standing stones. With its calm atmosphere, fresh sea air and views over the Baltic, Listed makes a fine stop for walkers and cyclists following the coast around the island.
