Langebæk is a small parish in Vordingborg Municipality in south-east Zealand, close to the Ulvsund strait and the approach to the island of Møn. Until the Danish municipal reform it was the heart of the former Langebæk Kommune, and it still has the feel of quiet villages, open fields and coastal countryside. From here it is only a short distance to Kalvehave and the Dronning Alexandrine Bridge, which crosses to Møn and its famous white chalk cliffs. The landscape is gently rolling, with farms, hedgerows and views over the sound, while the minor roads invite cycling and driving through one of Zealand's more overlooked corners. Langebæk serves mainly as a peaceful place to live and a natural stop for travellers heading south. Visitors find calm, authentic Danish countryside rather than tourist attractions here, and it is precisely the quiet, the open land and the nearness of coast and bridge that make it a pleasant pause away from the main routes.
