Henne Stationsby

Henne Stationsby

Henne Stationsby is a quiet village in the flat, wind-swept countryside of western Jutland, part of Varde Municipality in southern Denmark. As its name suggests, the settlement grew up around the railway station on the historic Vestbanen line between Varde and Nørre Nebel, which still carries passengers today. Surrounded by heath, meadow and pine plantation, the village makes a peaceful base for exploring the wider Henne area. A short drive west lies Henne Strand, one of Denmark's finest North Sea beaches, backed by rolling dunes and the vast Blåbjerg conifer forest. Cyclists and walkers come for the marked trails, the big skies and the clean coastal air, while summer visitors fill the nearby holiday homes. With its station, local shops and country charm, Henne Stationsby offers an unhurried taste of rural Jutland close to the sea.
