Fræer

Fræer is a small village in Rebild Municipality, set in the rolling heart of Himmerland just a stone's throw from Rold Forest, the largest continuous woodland in Denmark. Here you find a quiet rural atmosphere of scattered farms, an old church and long views across open fields, heath and forest edges. The area is known for Fræer Purker, a lovely landscape of natural springs where clear water bubbles up among heather and gentle hills – a favourite spot for walkers and nature lovers. The countryside around Fræer invites unhurried strolls or bike rides along forest paths and undulating terrain. From the village it is a short hop to the hills of Rebild Bakker and the open reaches of the national park to the north, and to Aalborg to the north-east. Fræer is not a place of loud attractions, but of calm, fresh air and genuine, undisturbed nature.
