Brundby

Brundby

Brundby is a small village on the Danish island of Samsø, set in the middle of the Kattegat sea. With its thatched, well-kept houses, winding lanes and roses climbing the walls, the place feels like a postcard from a quieter Denmark. The village is best known for the Brundby Rock Hotel, a beloved music venue that since the 1970s has drawn Danish and international musicians to the island and filled summer evenings with live concerts. Around Brundby spread Samsø's fertile fields of potatoes, pumpkins and the famous Samsø strawberries. Cycle paths lead easily to neighbouring villages, the coast and sandy beaches, while the island's slow rhythm makes this an ideal base for walking and unwinding. Brundby captures the essence of Samsø: close community, local produce and a surprisingly strong cultural heritage on a small scale. A short stay here offers an authentic taste of Danish island life.
