Allerslev sits in the gently rolling countryside of South Zealand, just a few kilometres from the fjord town of Præstø in Vordingborg Municipality. The village gathers around the whitewashed Allerslev Church, whose fieldstone walls and Romanesque core hint at the area's medieval roots. All around stretches a calm agricultural landscape of open fields, hedgerows and scattered farms that shift colour with the seasons.
