True is a small settlement west of Aarhus, where the edge of the city gives way to the open countryside of eastern Jutland. Its position near Brabrand and Tilst makes it a quiet base within easy reach of city life, while the surroundings keep a rural, almost suburban-green calm. Close by lies True Forest, a popular outdoor area with paths through light deciduous woodland, where locals come to walk, cycle and let their dogs run. The area invites unhurried days in nature, and the gently rolling fields and hedgerows around the houses are a reminder of how closely Aarhus is still tied to its hinterland. For the traveller, True is less a destination in itself than a window into everyday life on the edge of Denmark's second-largest city. From here it is an easy trip to Brabrand Lake, central Aarhus and the west coast of Jutland.
