Styrtom

Styrtom is a small rural settlement in southern Jutland, close to Sønderborg and the island of Als. Here you meet the quiet, gently rolling South Jutland countryside, with open fields, hedgerows and scattered farms where life follows the calm rhythm of the seasons. The area is shaped by the rich history of the Danish-German border region, and the surrounding roads lead easily onward to Sønderborg with its castle, waterfront and cosy streets. Styrtom itself is not a sightseeing destination but rather a starting point for experiencing the authentic countryside. Travellers who value peace, cycling along narrow lanes and proximity to the coast and to Als' woods and beaches will find the region appealing. It is a place to breathe deeply, sense rural life, and use the nearness to South Jutland's many small treasures as a base for further exploration.
