Stenstrup

Stenstrup is a small village in North Zealand, set among the gently rolling hills not far from Helsingør and the shore of the Øresund. Here visitors encounter the classic Danish farming landscape of open fields, hedgerows, old farmsteads and quiet gravel roads that wind between stands of trees. The village is defined by calm and closeness to nature, yet it sits centrally among some of North Zealand's best-known attractions. From Stenstrup it is a short journey to Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, to the broad sandy beaches along the Øresund, and to the vast forests around Gribskov and Lake Esrum. The surrounding countryside invites cycling, walking and day trips through a cultural landscape that unfolds in quiet, unhurried beauty. Stenstrup offers no grand sights of its own, but it makes a peaceful base for experiencing the authentic North Zealand away from the main tourist trail.
