Røjle

Røjle

Røjle is a peaceful village on the Røjle peninsula in northwestern Funen, tucked between rolling farmland and the shimmering waters of the Little Belt. Part of Middelfart Municipality, it offers a quiet counterpoint to the nearby harbour town, with hedgerow-lined lanes, thatched farmhouses and wide coastal views. The nearby cliffs of Røjle Klint rise above the strait, where beech woods meet pebble beaches and the currents of the Little Belt churn below — one of Denmark's richest marine habitats, famed for porpoise watching. Walkers and cyclists follow country roads down to sheltered coves, while the small island of Fænø lies just offshore. With Middelfart, the Little Belt bridges and the Funen coast all within easy reach, Røjle rewards travellers seeking slow days, sea air and the gentle rhythm of rural Denmark.
