Oure is a small village in southeast Funen in Svendborg Municipality, just a few kilometres from the shore of the Great Belt. Today it is best known for Oure Sport & Performance, a large sports boarding-school and folk high school community that draws young people from across Denmark and shapes daily life in the village. Around Oure spreads a gently rolling, fertile landscape of fields, hedgerows and woodland edges that slopes down toward the water at Lundeborg and the southern Funen coast. Quiet lanes invite cycling and walking past farms, village ponds and the whitewashed parish church. Historically the area was defined by farming and manorial estates, and the nearby manor houses reflect a long cultural heritage. From Oure it is a short trip to Svendborg, the South Funen Archipelago and its scattered islands.
