Ølsted Sydstrand lies on the eastern shore of Roskilde Fjord in the Halsnæs area of North Zealand, just south of the village of Ølsted. It is a quiet, unpretentious fjord beach where shallow, calm water makes it well suited to bathing with children and to long walks along the coast. From the shoreline, wide views open across the fjord toward Frederikssund and the opposing coasts, while the flat surroundings leave plenty of room for sky and light. Summer houses, reed beds and abundant birdlife characterise the area, which forms part of the gently rolling coastal landscape of the inner fjord.
