Hovedskov

Hovedskov is a small hamlet on the island of Møn in southeastern Denmark, where rolling farmland meets deciduous woods and the quiet island sea. There is no tourist machinery here – just scattered farms, gravel lanes and a stillness that feels far from any city. The village makes a fine base for exploring Møn's rich nature and heritage: the famous white chalk cliffs of Møns Klint, the whitewashed medieval churches with their celebrated frescoes, and the dark night skies that made the island Denmark's first Dark Sky park. In summer the air smells of grain and elderflower, while cranes and birds of prey wheel above the meadows. Cyclists and walkers appreciate the peaceful roads and gently hilly terrain. Come to Hovedskov to feel the real, unfiltered island Denmark, where the pace slows and the landscape is left to speak for itself.
