Hårbølle is a small coastal village on the southwestern side of the island of Møn, facing the Grønsund strait with views toward neighbouring Falster. The village is known for its idyllic harbour, Hårbølle Havn, where fishing boats and pleasure craft rest side by side, and for its long, shallow beach, popular with families and bathers in summer. The area has a rich history of flint extraction, quarried along the coast and shipped out from the harbour. Today Hårbølle is a peaceful summer-house district where nature dominates: open fields, coastal meadows and wide views across the water. From here it is easy to reach the large Fanefjord Forest and the famous Fanefjord Church with its medieval frescoes. Hårbølle invites quiet walks, fishing from the pier and sunsets over the Baltic Sea, far from the noise of the towns.
