Dalby is a small village in Kolding Municipality in southeastern Jutland, part of the Region of Southern Denmark. It lies just south of the fjord town of Kolding, set among gently rolling farmland, hedgerows and patches of woodland typical of the region. At its heart stands the whitewashed Dalby Church, a Romanesque village church whose tower marks the settlement from a distance. The surrounding countryside slopes toward the waters of Kolding Fjord and the coastline of the Little Belt, making it a peaceful base for walks and cycling on quiet country lanes. Once a purely agricultural parish, Dalby has grown into a commuter community within easy reach of Kolding's shops, harbour and cultural life, while keeping its rural calm.
