Andst Stationsby lies in southern Jutland between Kolding and Vejen, close to the E20 motorway. It is a classic Danish railway town that grew up in the late 19th century, when the line from Lunderskov to Esbjerg was built and brought trade, crafts and new houses to the district. The name Andst, however, reaches further back, to the older parish village a short distance away with its whitewashed medieval church.
